James is a rail specialist with over 13 years’ experience in the industry. He has held numerous roles in rolling stock and rail infrastructure projects covering engineering and project management. He offers particular expertise around rolling stock introduction, approvals, performance improvement, maintenance optimisation and project delivery.
Within the rolling stock arena, James has experience from a broad range of projects, spanning different stages of the asset life cycle, from specification, procurement and service introduction, through to modification and mid-life asset upgrade programmes. He has a detailed understanding of rolling stock mechanical and electrical systems. James has worked in design and project management roles on several infrastructure projects covering depot buildings and facilities, signalling upgrades and track upgrades.
