SIMON LAWSON
Principal
Simon is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the rail industry. He has been involved in implementing major projects within the rolling stock industry in the operations, maintenance and new build environments.
Simon has served public and private sector clients based in the UK, as well as clients in Europe, the Balkans and the USA. Simon’s project involvement has ranged from working with engineers to address design compliance issues, managing teams to deliver engineering and test programmes, through to advising senior managers and investors on strategic issues in support of business affecting decisions. He has extensive experience of the UK rail franchising process, having advised a number of owning groups on fleet strategy, and working to develop comprehensive bid documentation for multiple recent franchise bids.
