Rashid has over 40 years’ experience in the rail industry with infrastructure providers, transport consultancy, railways, and rolling stock organisations. Rashid is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He brings together experience and engineering knowledge in the railway industry with the ability to work collaboratively with senior industry stakeholders and teams to increase system performance, reliability, availability, and safety.
Rashid’s UK and overseas working experience has given him a whole system view of the railways and enabled him to develop a range of skills to support organisations. These include engineering specifications, business case and feasibility studies, ITT and procurement support, train and infrastructure interface risks and system compatibility, systems engineering, and technical assurance and risk review.
